Are you a first-time homebuyer looking to purchase a single or a double family home in the City of Buffalo? The City of Buffalo Division of Real Estate’s HOMEGROWN program might be for you!

This new homeownership program is designed to assist income eligible first-time low-income homebuyers with the purchase and rehabilitation of an affordable home. The City has identified a selected inventory of vacant homes that are available for sale at a pre-established appraised value.  from the City of Buffalo’s Division of Real Estate and receive funding for needed repairs to make the home code compliant and ready for move-in. The Matt Urban Center has partnered with the City to assist homebuyers with processing applications for this new and beneficial program.

Approved funding assistance is provided by the City of Buffalo/ Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency as a deferred payment, zero percent interest loan (conditional grant) given verified residency in the home for 10 years. Submission of an application does not guarantee approval or funding and funding assistance is based on need.
