Each year, Buffalonians of Polish heritage gather to celebrate the Dyngus Day holiday following Easter. Our organization chooses to celebrate our roots as the Polish Community Center of Buffalo with a call to action: “Do Good on Dyngus Day.”
From March 17 to April 5, 2024 we are hosting our annual fundraising campaign where we encourage supporters to make a donation, join us in a neighborhood clean up, share their acts of good on social media with the hashtag #DoGoodOnDyngusDay and celebrate with us on the day itself. Proceeds from this effort will go to support our community programs, which provide essential services to residents of Buffalo’s East Side.

Doing Good By Cleaning Up Our Community
As part of our commitment to “Do Good On Dyngus Day,” we will be partnering with our neighbors at the Buffalo Central Terminal and the Central Terminal Neighborhood Association to clean up the neighborhood on Saturday, March 23 from 11am to 1pm to get ready for the festivities on April 1. Food and refreshments to follow. We hope you’ll join us!

Move In Kit Project
In addition to monetary donations, we welcome our supporters to connect with their family, friends or coworkers to participate in a “Do Good On Dyngus Day” project. This year, we are seeking donations of “Move In Kits” containing supplies and materials for our teams to ensure a quick turnaround and beautiful unit to our new residents as well as simple items to help them get organized. These kits will keep our operations running smoothly and will help residents settle into a new system their new homes.
