Hope House Shelter

Hope House is a trauma-informed care, “focused” homeless shelter for women and children. The shelter provides safe and stable emergency housing. The goal of the shelter is to rapidly re-house guests into permanent housing. Aftercare services are provided to families and individuals once housing is secured to ensure a proper support system is in place.

In 2020, the Matt Urban HOPE House provided emergency shelter for 458 women and women with children.

It is with great sadness that the Matt Urban Center had to close our Hope House shelter in the Spring of 2020. We will continue to serve the homeless community through our Homeless Outreach, Rapid Re-Housing, and Permanent Supportive Housing programs.
