Donations Spotlight

We’re grateful to have received several generous donations over the last few months to help our clients during the COVID pandemic.

We want to give a shout-out to those who donated to our Veteran’s Drive for our tenants at HELP Buffalo: Our Lovejoy District Councilman Bryan Bollman’s office donated 500 PPE masks to our vets to keep them safe and healthy. Pam Ware and Leah Burr, employees at Amazon’s BUF 9 site in Lancaster, donated clothing, puzzles and books to help our vets stay occupied.

A huge thank you to Stephanie Frary of Buffalo’s Red Party for donating over 1200 tampons and pads to our Hope Services clients. Red Party works to help provide sanitary products to those who cannot afford them, to help them remain healthy, sanitary, and maintain their dignity.

Our friends at Bocce Club Pizza were kind enough to donate a huge lunch to our staff to celebrate them for continuing to provide essential services during COVID-19. Thank you, Bocce, for recognizing our staff’s perseverance during these unusual times!

Amazon BUF5 Donates Winter Clothing to Hope Center

We’d like to say a huge THANK YOU to our friends at the Amazon.com BUF5 site for hosting an employee-driven winter clothing drive on our behalf. They dropped off their donations to our Hope Center last Friday, and the results were amazing: 50 winter hats, 50 pairs of new underwear, 35 pairs of gloves, 9 winter coats, 3 pairs of winter boots, 52 pairs of socks, and 3 boxes of women’s and kid’s winter clothing!

Thank you to the awesome crew at Amazon for partnering with us and helping keep our clients warm this winter!

Amazon Hosts Winter Clothing Drive to Benefit MUC

Our friends at Amazon are generously hosting a winter clothing drive to support clients at our Hope Center and Hope House Shelter. They are currently collecting gently used or new winter apparel such as gloves, hats, coats and boots.

Those interested in donating can find dropboxes at the Amazon (BUF5) location at 4201 Walden Avenue in Lancaster, our main headquarters at 1081 Broadway, Buffalo, or our Hope Center at 385 Paderewski Drive, Buffalo.

Donations are being accepted through January 10, 2020!

Give a Gift to Homeless Outreach This Season!

Doing some Amazon shopping this holiday season? We hope you’ll consider heading over to our Homeless Outreach team’s wish list and donating an item or two!

The Matt Urban Outreach team meets individuals that are experiencing homelessness where they are at. We meet individuals under bridges, in an encampment, at a shelter, or in a bus terminal, for example. We help the homeless community in Buffalo meet their basic needs by supplying items such as: blankets, food, water, socks, clothing, underwear, gloves, hats, and anything else that the client may need. Any donations made to the Matt Urban Outreach Team will be put to good use, as it will be distributed to those who are without homes this holiday season.
